Frequently Asked Questions

Who should join boot camp?

Our four week Boot Camp programs are available in two popular formats. For women only, we offer our highly effective "Mission Possible Boot Camp" designed to help drop inches and tone muscle. So that the men don't feel left out, we offer a co-ed fitness camp that features the latest fitness craze to hit the province (TRX Co-ed Boot Camp). TRX Boot Camp delivers a cutting edge fitness program that has no equal in the fitness industry and delivers results quickly as it utilizes metabolic fitness training through the use of TRX Suspension Training and cardio drills. Whether you choose "Mission Possible Boot Camp for Women" or "TRX Co-ed Boot Camp", all programs are designed for healthy people of all ages and fitness levels. Both formats tests your mettle in a fun and challenging group atmosphere. Our professionally trained and certified trainers will provide modifications to any exercise for those who need to be careful of injuries or for those who need an even tougher challenge. Please inform your trainer of any and all limitations or injuries prior to starting a class

What do you do in boot camp?

Each class and camp is different in its design, trainer expertise and implementation. Classes consist of cardiovascular exercises and muscle strengthening exercises. These may include TRX Suspension Systems, running, medicine ball work, jumping jacks, manmakers, mountain climbers, push-ups, burpees, abdominal crunches, squats and lunges. All trainers are highly educated and able to provide modifications to exercises as necessary.

Prorated camps are calculated using the regular class price of $16.50 plus GST. Once completed, contact our office and we will refund your payment the pro-rated amount. Refunds may take up to 30 days to appear on your banking statements. Where are the boot camps located?

We have many locations within Winnipeg and a new location in Transcona, so you shouldn't have to travel more than ten minutes to find one. We also have a location in Selkirk MB which during the summer months is held along the waterfront at the Port of Selkirk. From the first week in May till late September, all boot camps are conducted outdoors except for our indoor Training Centre at 640 King Edward Street (near Ellice). Boot camps are posted one month at a time and found on our registration page, where you can pay online by VISA or Mastercard.

How do I make up a class?

Sustainable Fitness does not provide refunds for Boot Camp classes not taken. It is our intention to provide make up days wherever possible, within the same 4 week round of camp. Note: We are not obliged to make special arrangements to provide make up days outside of our program.

Are results measured?

On the first and last day of your boot camp program we conduct fitness testing, and will given the option of having your body measurements taken after class as well.

What type of results can be expected?

It is not uncommon for clients to lose up to 8lbs and double their strength in four weeks; however no promises are made in this regard, as you only get out what you put in (extraordinary effort = extraordianry results) .

What if I have an existing injury?

All activities/ exercises performed in camp can be modified around an injury, but it really depends on the nature, severity, and phase of injury. Recruits are required to complete a PAR-Q medical form prior to participating in camp. Recruits answering yes to any of the PAR-Q form questions will need to have a doctor complete a more in depth PARMED-X. If you have any questions regarding your medical and physical condition, please contact our office.
